Commercial Office Workplace
This project forms part of the commercial & hospitality precinct of The Mill Wagga Wagga masterplan designed by Become. which includes the Heritage listed Murrumbidgee Mill as a key component affecting the siting and design resolution of all adjacent buildings in the masterplan.
The two storey commercial office building was initially conceived as a response for the opportunity to provide a new purpose-built, bespoke NSW Government office workplace for Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
The design was highly responsive to detailed user brief requirements including a wide variety of workspace outcomes, end of trip facilities, parking and other professional business amenities, but also had detailed requirements for building servicing and environmentally sustainable design, such as a 4.5 star NABERS & water rating consistent with NSW Government Sustainability Policy.
The building was designed as A-grade office space, featuring approx. 2,000sqm GFA fit-for-purpose office accommodation, fully designed to incorporate all aspects of NSW Government’s design brief.
Ultimately the provision of accommodation for NSW Government did not eventuate, however the client is continuing with the project having secured other key tenants and the building design has evolved to suit this new brief.
The project is DA approved and construction documentation is being led by Become.
